About us

Jack Welch, Jr. has more than 13 years of experience fighting for his clients’ interests in and out of the courtroom. Immediately before forming his own firm, Mr. Welch was a named partner with Sidwell, Barrett & Welch, PC, one of the mid-state’s preeminent law firms known primarily for its high quality work in real estate, probate, and small business matters.

Prior to beginning his law practice, Mr. Welch spent 17 years as a construction administrator and civil engineering designer for one of the country’s premier consulting engineering firms. The fact that he did not go to law school straight from college gave him a more comprehensive view of the practical side of both the legal and business aspect of his law practice. It also gave him the unique ability to see his clients’ issues from more than just a lawyer’s viewpoint; a skill he relies on in each case he handles.

Throughout his legal career, Jack Welch, Jr. has maintained a practice comprised of both transaction and litigation work. That work has been focused on the following practice areas:

Real Estate
Estate Planning, Probate & Estate Administration

Small Businesses
Alternative Dispute Resolution

While always ready to litigate if necessary, Mr. Welch believes that Alternative Dispute Resolution provides a better way of resolving problems. Mediation and Arbitration many times provide a faster and less expensive means of resolving the problem.

Mr. Welch is licensed to practice law in all Courts in the State of Tennessee; and, is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator.
